Exciting young singer, Lily Casson, brings a new spin to some of her favourite songs, some familiar, some worthy of wider recognition, but all sharing the theme of an unexpected or casual encounter with someone or something. In this enchanting and personal show, Lily unlocks the hidden stories behind these songs whose composers include Lerner and Loewe, Stephen Schwartz, César Franck and Bob Chilcott.

The definition of an 'encounter' is...
'to be unexpectedly faced with an experience or something difficult'
'to meet someone unexpectedly'
'an unexpected or casual meeting with someone or something'
Each of these is represented in the songs I am going to sing you.
With 'Encounters' I hope to give a new spin on favourites that I love, and bring to light some songs that I think need more recognition with some unknown stories along the way.
